Application Of Social Work In Rural Elderly Living Alone Social Support Network Recongstruction

China has entered the aging society. The aging rate of the fast, and the degree of deep, seriously affect the harmonious development of society.The degree of aging in rural areas was higher than that in urban areas, and the problem of the elderly in rural areas has become a huge obstacle to the development of rural communities. The rural elderly living along who was childless without spouse,lack of family roles and support network,became important and difficult points in solving the problem of rural elderly pension. This paper aims to intervene the rural elderly living along which help rebuild new network of support by social work practice.The main content of this paper has three points:firstly, through researching information and documentation,author explore the possibility of the rural elderly living along rebuild support network.Sources of support networks are divided into two kinds: formal and informal support,formal support network includes representatives from national policies and community assistance, and informal support from informal organization’s support and the support of family and friends.To build a new support network aims to support the elderly health service.Secondly,with professional social workers intervened in the Qitai County of Xinjiang farm land Temple community old people’s home, social worker use group work and case work to help the elderly to rebuild support network.Finally, through the activities carring out in homes for the elderly, evaluation of social work practice and experience is obtained.After work, to observe the conditions of elderly living along by rebuilding the support network, social work can find the method in helping to rebuild the rural elderly support network and discuss advantages and prospects to solve similar problems in the future.In this study, social worker using a professional practice for the elderly to help them rebuild support network.On one hand,social worker uses group work which through psychosocial care models for analysis work, aims to obtain new friends to support, and to make up for their lack of informal support,while established relationship between groups members and official support provider.On the other hand,social worker uses case work which through task-oriented models for working solutions, aims to help the elderly to re-integrate into the existing organization, and access to new non-support,at the same time, help the elderly to improve relations with relatives and consolidate their family’s support system.Study found that based on group work and case work practice experience and assessment, the rural elderly living along empty and miserable living condition has improved, and the can rely on rebuild support systems to have full health life.Practice fully embodies the values of social work helping people to help themselves that help services for the elderly who can be maintained after the end of the change, and obtain social work in problem-solving mode:social worker integrate resources through social work methods, and rebuild the support network for the elderly to maintain its healthy lifestyle.
