Group Work Intervention Of Mutual Support For The Elderly Living Alone In The Community

With the deepening of aging and the changing of family structure,the problem of providing for the aged has become one of the major social problems to be solved.Among them,the elderly living alone as a relatively vulnerable group of the elderly,their pension problems are often ignored.As a new mode of providing for the aged,the advantages of mutual support for the aged mainly include saving the resources of providing for the aged and satisfying the traditional idea of providing for the aged at home.In the past,scholars mainly focused on rural areas,and there was little practical work related to the mutual assistance group for the elderly living alone in urban areas,,so it is urgent to carry out relevant research.In this study,eight elderly people living alone in H community of Ordos City are taken as the research object,and questionnaire survey and unstructured interview are adopted to analyze the basic situation data of elderly people living alone in H community.After analyzing the basic situation data of elderly people living alone in H community,the five aspects of needs of elderly people living alone in H community are defined,namely,the needs of daily care,health care knowledge acquisition,emotional support The need to participate in social interaction and self realization.Guided by these five needs,six group activities were designed to meet the needs of the team members in five aspects,and encourage the team members to continue to help each other and build a harmonious and fraternal life in the future.At the end of the activity,the author also evaluated the realization degree of the group goal and the change of the group members.After participating in the group activity,all the group members expanded their communication scope,understood the new health care knowledge,enjoyed the domestic service,and gained the friendship with other group members.After the activities,the author puts forward three suggestions: first,the community should vigorously develop the cultivation of volunteer team for the elderly;second,social workers should integrate multi-faceted resources in the process of group activities;Third,social workers should clarify their role positioning.All in all,under the guidance of the theory of social activities and the theory of superiority perspective,the mutual assistance group for the elderly living alone presented the complete group work development process,and provided a practical example for enhancing the mutual assistance senility of the elderly living alone.
