Since the launch of the campus football activities in the year of2009, campus football for youth hasinitially formed scale and developed into a system. The concept of campus football has been graduallyaccepted by the society and students, with an increasing number of people and their enthusiasm takingparticipation in it. However, campus football for youth is still in its initial stage, whether the participatorscan recognise its function and value or not will exert a great influence on its healthy and sustainabledevelopment. Therefore it is necessary to launch a research on the value of campus football activities. Valueidentification is a set of mutual belief of value by which people use to regulate their action. It is also an aimpursued through common ideal, belief, measure and principle. During the pursuit people assimilate thecommon standards and turn them into their value orientation. A healthy common value can make a goodinfluence on activities, daily work and the object’s development.This thesis employs documentary method, questionnaire method, on-the-spot investigation,mathematical statistics and logical approach to detailedly analyze the the leaders of school footballcommittee, the leaders of competent authority, coaches, headmasters and students in fourfootball-distributed school in Henan. Meanwhile, a survey of youth’s value orientation of campus footballactivities is launched to examine the current situation of campus football activities and to find the existingproblems in time in order to solve them and to provide a foundation for the sustainable development ofcampus football activities. After the survey, conclusions are made as follows.Firstly, the core value of campus football activities for youth is an organic system which constitutes ofcampus football activities’ educational value, body-building value, the popularization value of footballintellect and technical ability, and cultural development. This core value play a role of guidance in campusfootball activities and occupy the most importance position.Secondly, the value orientation of campus football activities for youth means students can assimilatethis core value and regard it as a norm to regulate their behaviors in order to pursue an overall developmentand make themselves benefit. It reflects participators’ value and understanding of campus football activitiesfor youth.. Thirdly, with the increase of popularization and publicity of campus football activities for youth,campus football activities boomingly develop. At the same time, people know further of campus footballactivities, which realize the cognitive identity and affective commitment towards campus football activitiesfor youth among most participators.Fourthly, at the present stage, people can realize the significance of campus football activities foryouth, with a higher sense of cognitive identity and affective commitment. However, when it comes tospecific popularization and operation, some problems emerge, which reflect the disjunction of cognitiveidentity and affective commitment. The problems mainly appear as the inadequacy of football teaching inPE class, the insufficiency in construction of school class, the little amount of campus football activities,the imperfection of league football match among schools, the lack of systematic training for professionalstaff.Fifth, there still exists several problems concerning campus football activities, such as capital shortage,little account taken by leaders, shortage of teaching faculty, lack of equipment, lack of policy guarantee, theless popularization of football class and so on, which exerts bad influence on value orientation of campusfootball activities for youth. In order to realize the value identification, the predominating role of youthshould be made clear, the management and insurance system should be perfected, the participators shouldbe lead to practice the value of campus football for youth.
