The Development And Innovation Of Competitive Swimming Technique Based On The Rules

In the interview, most of coaches from the national swimming team believe that the competitive swimming is a technique-dominated sport. Retrospect the development and innovation process of swimming technique: a lots of factors propel its development and innovation, but the most important factor is the changes of rules. Each time when the rules changed, the technique changed. In a rule perspective, the research on development and innovation of the competitive swimming shows us the development trend of technique under the influence of rules’changes. Which demonstrates the impact on the performance. Summarizing, analyzing and inducing the development and innovation of competitive swimming starts, four strokes (conclude body position, arms, legs, breathe and full stroke), turns and finishes which influence the performance, from the method of documentation, expert interviews, questionnaire, statistics analysis, videos observation and image captures and analysis were used. The conclusions as follows:1 Rules’changes influenced the development and innovation of starts technique mainly in 4 aspects:1) the development and innovation of starts on the start platform (swing start-grab start-track start); 2) the development and innovation of backstroke start (feet underwater totally-feet out of water totally-backstroke start device); 3)the development and innovation of leg techniques underwater after start (dolphin kicks) and long arm pull techniques in breaststrokes (without-with one dolphin kick); 4) the development and innovation of start in relay race (grab start-track start-step start)2 Rules’changes influenced the development and innovation 4 kinds of competitive swimming which concluded 5 aspects of technique:body position, arms, legs, breathe and full strokes.1) body position technique change most in 4 strokes; 2) breaststroke3 Rules’ changes influenced the development and innovation of turns technique mainly in 2 aspects:1) the development and innovation of butterfly and breaststroke turns technique(millstone turn-swing turn); 2) the development and innovation of backstroke and freestyle turns technique(touch turn-rolling turn).4 Rules’changes influenced the development and innovation of finishes technique make swimmers pay more attention to the small details of technique.5 Rules influenced the performance of swimmers the development and innovation of technique. Throughout the performance trend of competitive swimming, most of the rules’changes bring positive impact on performance.
