Phonetics teaching is not only the emphasis in a language teaching, but also the very important part in teaching Chinese for foreigners. The writer of this thesis has tried to sum up appropriate teaching strategies of Chinese phonetics for Thai high school students at primary stage, which is based on some correlative researches made by other scholars, and the actual situation of Thailand, and of Thai high school students.In this thesis, the writer uses the inter-language theory, the contrastive theory, the errors analysis theory and the model of difficulty degree theory to investigate her own school students. Besides, given the actual situation of the local students, the writer analyses the goals, the emphasises, and the strategies of phonetics teaching, and also gives some examples.This thesis consists of three parts, including preamble, main body and epilogue.Chapter One :A brief introduction to the reasons, the purposes and the significance of this thesis, a brief presentation to the theoretical basis and research methods of this thesis, and a brief review to researches of other scholars about Chinese phonetics.Chapter Two:A introduction to the status of Chinese phonetics teaching of Thailand and Kalasinpittayasan School.Chapter Three: A comparison between Chinese phonetic system and Thai phonetic system.Chapter Four: Two teaching goals, eight teaching principles and five teaching strategies of Chinese phonetics teaching for Thai high school students in primary stage.Chapter Five: Two examples about teaching strategies given in chapter four.Chapter Six: A summary for this thesis.
