In recent years, teaching Chinese as a second language has enjoyed a period of prosperity around the world. In order to get a better understanding of learners’ language system, a lot of scholars begin to study the errors of Chinese. It makes the error analysis on learners of Chinese as a second language is becoming a hot spot in the field. However, when we learn a second language, the first task is the phonetic learning. Therefore, the study on Chinese phonetic errors and corresponding strategies has attracted more and more attention.This paper is a case study of Thai Phaiboonvittaya School. It analyzes and studies the errors of Chinese initial and final of Thai primary school students, and it is based on the specific comparison and analysis on Chinese and Thai phonetic system. The author obtains the phonetic materials by way of recording the investigation for 24 primary students in Phaiboonvittaya School, Thailand. After identifying and translating these phonetic materials, the author studies the errors of Chinese initial and final of Thai primary school students. It includes four aspects: calculation of error rate, summary of error form, cause of error and corresponding strategy for error.It is found in this study that the error of Chinese initial of Thai primary school students is mainly reflected in z, c, s, zh, ch, r, j, q, x and h. The error of Chinese final is mainly reflected in er, Cuokouhu and Qichihu. The negative transfer of mother tongue and negative transfer of target language are the main reasons for these errors.
