English grammar is an important part of English teaching.Teachers spend lots of time on it, but the effect is just so so. Some of the students did not have a clear basic knowledge about English grammar and syntax concept.The reason is that parts of our country still adopted the traditional grammar teaching method at present.Therefore, the suited English grammar teaching methods was needed to be further explored.It is inevitable that Language Transfer in Second Language has both positive transfer and negative transfer.A long time,the focus of the research is concentrated in avoiding negative transfer of mother tongue,while the positive transfer relatively neglected. Most research about positive transfer concentrated in writing and English learning, but the research about high school English grammar teaching is rare.Thus, the author thinks the positive transfer of mother tongue language combined with high school English grammar teaching.In another word, it is presented to use the theory of migration to strengthen positive transfer of mother tongue language in the high school English grammar teaching. It can help students improve the knowledge of five simple sentence and consolidate the basic knowledge of English grammar. At the same time it is also a new way of thinking for the high school English grammar teaching.This article is divided into three parts.The first part presents the research status of the positive transfer of mother tongue at home and abroad,analyzing contrast theory, error analysis theory, inter-language and the theory of tag in detail. The author enlightened by Wen Qiu Fang who wrote a book named Major Issues in Second Language Acquisition. It pointed out that teachers should help students find inter-lingual commonness and strengthen the positive transfer in English teaching.So the author thinks that combine the migration theory with high school English grammar teaching has its necessity and feasibility.The second part analyzes the similarities in grammar of English and Chinese from the lexical and syntactic aspects,laying a foundation for applying the positive transfer of mother tongue language into the high school grammar teaching.The article from lexical, syntactical topunctuation aspects analyzed similarity between English and Chinese grammar. Finding that even they belong to different language families, but still have lots in common.It can help students learn English grammar more easily. The third part combines the theory with practice.Under The migration theory and the guidance of the adviser,the author designs two questionnaires and one semester teaching experiment.Before the experiment,the author carried out pretest and a questionnaire on the experimental and control class.After the experiment the author carried out a questionnaire survey on experimental class.The test used 10 translations and some grammar tests to reflect the application of students’ five simple sentences and master degree of English grammar knowledge.Then experimental result analyzed by SPSS17.0, for independent sample test.To verify the effectiveness of integrating the positive transfer of mother tongue language with high school English grammar teaching.Finally the author analyzes the deficiency of the article and put forward the research prospect on the positive transfer of mother tongue.
