In the background of information age, scientific research is becoming more and more complex and systematic. Individual research is difficult to adapt to the challenge of collectivity and openness. As an efficient organization form, scientific research team appears at the right moment. University scientific research team building is an important way to implement the strategy of reinvigorating China through human resource development. In order to guarantee good results in university scientific research team building, it needs to analyze and identify the influencing factors. Feasible reference can be proposed for the management and operation of scientific research team to serve the country’s innovation and development strategy.Based on the literature and the interview with university scientific research team members, this paper attempts measure the result of university scientific research team building from team goals achievement, team innovation performance, member satisfaction and team reputation; and to build a model of the influencing factors of university scientific research team building from corporeality factors, systematic factors, cultural factors and external environmental factors.400questionnaires were distributed to scientific research team members in15universities by email and paper forms,274questionnaires were effective. Then based on the questionnaire data, research model has been proved by empirical test. The result shows:target and vision and policy system in the university have a significant impact on the results of team building; that personnel composition has a significant impact on team innovation performance and team reputation; research funding, distribution mechanism and team communication all have a significant impact on team goals achievement and team reputation; team leadership has a significant impact on team innovation performance, member satisfaction and team reputation.By identifying the influencing factors of university scientific research team building results, it can make university scientific research teams grasp the key factors which affect the results of team building, and provide countermeasures and suggestions for university scientific research team’s building, and promote its scientific operation and healthy development.
