Speed reading is a reading method which can efficiently and fast obtain useful information from the reading text. Based on the principle of physiology, psychology, linguistics, thinking science and brain science, speed reading training is exploited to train the reading speed of students according to eye-brain connection and eye movement theory. While the students are studying various projects, they are required to expand their knowledge by reading a lot. However, the students are keen on clicking on the links in the reading process due to the impact of online reading from new media, which disperses the attention and lead to the decrease of reading speed and reading efficiency for the students.To solve the above issues, the thesis designs and develops the speed reading training system by using Microsoft.NET and FLASH through the research and analysis of the speed reading training theory and method. The six modules, which contains vision training, Schulte training, flash visual training, speed search training, speed reading training and practical training, are designed and developed to improve the students’ reading speed and efficiency and solve the reading problems for students. The main contents are as follows:(1) The speed reading training system, which meets the psychology features of readers with whole function, is designed and developed. The thesis analyzes and explains the speed reading theory, and makes a comprehensive analysis for speed reading training method. In the guidance of speed reading theory and training method, speed reading training system is developed to satisfy the requirement of readers for the increase of reading speed and efficiency.(2) The visual training module is designed and developed. Based on the detail analysis of visual training principle, whole perception training animation, vision expanding training animation, visual reading rhythm training animation, and fluency training animation are developed combined with FLASH animation and under the guidance of FLASH animation design principle. In the above animation design, not only FLASH animation design principle is followed, but also the visual training principle plays a role, finally the visual training module has been designed and developed.(3) The other training module, including Schulte training, flash visual training, speed search training, speed reading training and practical training, is designed and developed. In order to avoid the boredom of trainer due to the long time practice, the thesis explains and analyzes the application of psychology in game design. The training modules are designed and developed with a view of the psychology of trainer.
