In the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, our country was transformed from tradition to modern times, the transformation of society depended on education, "education saving the nation" is the mission of this era, "sports saving the nation" is the slogan of this era. Middle school education in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China is a special period in the educational chain of our country, the middle school physical education curriculum standard is the core of middle school physical education. The evolution and development content in late Qing and early Republic of China school physical education standard setting, research to improve the new period the deepening reform in middle school sports curriculum standard compilation and sports has important significance and role.The time as a clue, will be at the end of the Qing Dynasty during the period of the Republic of China, the middle school sports curriculum standard development process is divided for three time periods:(1) at the end of the Qing Dynasty; (2) in the early years of the Republic of China and the Beiyang government period; (3) Nanjing National Government period. By using the method of literature, comparative analysis method, historical method and logical analysis method, in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China promulgated the formal middle school sports curriculum standard (system) as the research object. The main research its formation process and content, summarizes the development characteristics and influencing factors, with a view on the current middle school physical education curriculum reform of historical reference. The study shows that the curriculum standard of middle school physical education in our country has been developed in the last 40 years of the Republic of China. From the formation process of speaking, our country middle school physical education curriculum standards from scratch into a system gradually, from content speaking, teaching idea more scientific and modernization, teaching objectives established more operation, teaching content settings more standardized and flexible, teaching time allocation more reasonable, teaching method and evaluation system more humane. But our country middle school sports curriculum standard in the history of exploration development is bound to have some defects and flaws.So in the new curriculum reform should pay attention to the historical experience and lessons, to avoid making the same mistakes.Realistic Enlightenment:Our country middle school physical education curriculum standard compilation to pay attention to the following points:(1) curriculum standards of education concept should be with the time; (2) curriculum standards of teaching content to have prominent national characteristics; (3) the teaching goal of the curriculum standards to adhere to student oriented; (4) curriculum standards of teaching methods to flexible.
