Taxonomy And Biogeographic Analysis Of The Family Lebertiidae Thor, 1900

Lebertiidae is one of the biggest groups of superfamily Lebertioidea, Prostigmata, Anystides,Acari. The study of the family Lebertiidae Thor, 1900 can be traced back to 1879 when Lebert from Switzerland established the genus Pachygaster Lebert, 1879, which had been revised as genus Lebertia by Neuman in 1880. In 1900, the genus Lebertia was ascended as the Family Lebertiidae by Thor. As for China, the study of Lebertiidae started in 1994 when Jin firstly reported two new species, Lebertia(Pilolebertia) liangi Jin, 1994 and Lebertia(Pilolebertia)ramiseta Jin, 1994. Up to now, there are 4 genera, 5 subgenera had been accepted generally by taxonomists. To data, 1 genus, 2 subgenera including 9 species had been reported from China.As mentioned below, 1 genus, 4 subgenera and 29 species including 17 new species, 1 new record subgenus and 3 new recorded species to China were described and illustrated in this paper.Besides, the author added a key to genera of the family Lebertiidae and the key to Chinese species of Lebertiidae. Finally, the faunal analysis of the Lebertiidae from China has been presented in this paper. The results of the research as follows:1.
