In this paper, the stability of a high-steep rock slope is analyzed by qualitative and quantitative methods based on the project of collapse geological disasters in Xiayunling Village,Fangshan District.Due to the long-term structural changes and weathering forces, the slopes develop weak structural planes and complete destruction of the rock masses. In particular, there are hidden dangers associated with the formation of multiple intersecting fractures, and once there is a collapse hazard, there are hidden dangers. It will pose a threat to the lives and property of residents under the slope. The main research contents of this paper are as follows:1.Based on the results of the field survey and the results of the previous survey data of the area, combined with the development characteristics of the dangerous rock mass in the study area,it is preliminarily deduced that the destructive mechanism of the dangerous rock mass is dumping collapse.2.The judgment of rock slope stability in Xiayunling Village is made using qualitative methods.According to the stereographic projection analysis,it is known that the rock slope in the study area forms a wedge body under the cutting action of the joint surface, and the inclination of the wedge body is consistent with the slope surface, which easily leads to the collapse.3.The stability of rock slope is quantitatively analyzed by discrete element strength reduction method. The 3D discrete element numerical simulation software 3DEC is used to analyze slope stability.According to the simulation results, the steep slope is in a stable state under natural conditions;Under storm conditions, due to factors such as the decrease of structural surface strength and the increase of saturated water density in rock masses, the steep slope is in a state of understable condition;By simply inputting the harmonic wave at the bottom of the model and simulating the seismic conditions, some joint surfaces on the edge of the steep slope are separated, and the steep slope are in an unstable state. The stability of the dangerous rock masses are evaluated by the limit equilibrium method. From the calculation results,it is known that the dangerous rock mass is in a stable state under natural conditions and is in a state of understable state under storm and earthquake conditions.4.The numerical software Rockfall is used to predict the trajectories of typical dangerous rock masses. The final distribution characteristics of Rockfall are studied, and the kinetic energy and velocity change laws during Rockfall are analyzed. The slope stability is comprehensively analyzed and the prevention and control countermeasures are proposed.
