Sichuan-Tibet Railway is located in C hina's Sichuan Province and Tibet Autonomous Region.It is the main channel for the exchange of passengers and goods between Tibet?Sichuan?C hongqing and other places.The line connects with the planned railways from Shigatse to Yadong and Geelong.While improving the domestic road network,it also established a major gateway to the Asian East and the South Asian continent.Based on GIS and remote sensing technology,this paper establishes a geo-information database for the materials along the Litang-Bangda line of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway.And use the database information to analyze the location of the abandoned dreg site,so as to provide reference for the construction of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway in the future.At the same time,based on the analysis of the distribution characteristics of glaciers and glacial lakes on the southern margin of the Tibetan Plateau,qualitative analysis of the effects of changes in glaciers and glacial lakes on the line under global warming was conducted.The main conclusions obtained are as follows:(1)Designed and established the Litang-Bangda Geographic Information Database of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway,which contains basic information,road information and disaster information along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway.(2)Based on the existing design provisions for the site of tailings,the tunnel near the Batang station was taken as the object of study.Based on the Liantang-Bonda GIS database of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway,the AHP method was adopted and Arc GIS was used.The spatial analysis function establishes a site selection model for the project's waste slag yard to find suitable sites for waste slag.(3)Quantitative analysis of the distribution of glaciers in the Yarlung Zangbo,Ganges,and Indus basins on the southern margin of the Q inghai-Tibet Plateau,the relationship between the distribution of glacial lakes and altitudes,conversion heights,and temperatures,and the response of glaciers and glacial lakes to global warming were discussed.The influence of different types of glaciers and glacial lakes in the river basin on the Sichuan-Tibet Railway and the future of China's transnational route planning and design,and correspo nding disaster reduction strategies.
