The main role of ventilator is to transport fresh air to underground, discharge harmful toxic gas and dust, and ensure the safety of mine production and workers. Therefore, it is necessary to know about the real-time operating status of ventilator, control it effectivly, and warn faults that may occur. In the thesis, the supervision contrl system of main ventilator is designed according to the problems in the traditional ventilator system and the site needs. The system achieves the real-time monitoring about the status, performance, and related equipments. Meanwhile it achieves remote control through the communication system.The supervision contrl system has a three-tier structure, including the PC monitoring layer, the network communication layer and the site layer. The PC monitoring layer consists of two industrial computers and the interface management program edited by Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, with sound and light alarm signals, data-processing, operating records and so on. It achieves redundant hot backup supervisory control. The site layer mainly consists of low-voltage electrical cabinet, inverter cabinet, and PLC control cabinet. The S7-1200 PLC of Siemens is choosed in the PLC control cabinet. It achieves the monitoring data acquisition of the main ventilator, and the damper motor and fan motor control, which meets the requirements of air volume control, the character of nonlinear and time-varying about the ventilator system is analyzed, and a fuzzy PID control strategy is proposed and implemented. In network communication, a communicatting protocol is designed refere to Modbus protocol commonly used in industry. The PC monitoring layer and site layer are connected through the RS485 interface device and fiber optic communication equipment, and the PC monitoring layer can supervise and control the site layer.Up to now, this system has been operated in the actual site for more than six months.
