Our country has large amount of ore resources, but the average possession is little. The single easy dressing ores are few. The complex paragenic ores are more. Current features of our mineral resources are lean, fine-grained, complex and refractory. There are many kinds of associated minerals, complicated dissemination, result in the low rate of multipurpose utilization. Domestic and overseas dressing workers have been studying in polymetallic sulphide ore, and gained many new research results in flotation.The typical characteristic of Hongtoushan ore is polymetallic sulphide, and it is complexity. The complex symbiotic relationship between minerals in the ore makes the mineral processing difficult. After 50 years of production practice, the metal recoveris of the three main desired mineral--chalcopyrite, sphalerite, pyrite were high, but they can be higher. The recoveries of gold and silver in copper concentrate were only 55% and 60%, they were low. The aim of this article is how to improve on metal recoveries of Hongtoushan ore and how to make utilization of resoures maximization.Based on the intense research on the nature of Hongtoushan raw ore and intermediate product, examine the technical process to find out the subject matter of the flow. According to the analysis of the experiment results, point out the breakthrough of improving Hongtoushan technical dressing index. Analyse the monomer separation of the intermediate product and the examine result of the gringing-classification, low single separation degree of the value minerals causes the metal recovery rate low.By studing the grinding classification technological process of Hongtoushan dressing plant, Determine the effective way of improving grinding fineness are improving efficiency of hydrocyclone classification and reducing the size of the second milling dall. According to the research, we adjusted the cyclone plant parameter, enlargement of diameter of overflow tube, reducing insertion depth of overflow pipe, lower the height of the cylinder, adjustment the feed port. By adjusting the classification efficiency of hydrocyclone increased by 13%, the average utilization coefficient increased 0.27t/h-m3.After transforming the copper recovery rats increased by 0.71%, the zinc recovery rate increased by 0.57%, the gold recovery rate increased by 3.54%, the silver recovery rate increased by 1.04%, gen benefit RMB 6.44 million yuan per year, created a huge economic benefits for the company, and accumulated rich experience for similar complex polymetallic sulfide ore.
