Because of open-pit mining project specific terrain conditions and type, open-pit mining safety is particularly important, mining safety is a worldwide concern. Currently, there are a variety of foreign-developed software systems, functional and rich. However, the introduction of foreign systems are often expensive, causing obstruction for follow-up projects, limiting automatic monitoring system to be promoted in our country, our country has developed some automation monitoring softwar which are generally based on dam deformation-basede, lack of respect mine, bridges, tunnels, excavation and other types of project-specific systems.This paper describes the kind of control software development process and use this software Leica series measuring robot for deformation monitoring, data management, PC client and the measuring robot communication. Software to use the Leica TM30 comes the GeoCOM of interface technology, Visual C++6.0 language and the SQL Server database, the measuring robot interface for secondary development, interact with the database through ADO technology. Display stations, prism map using the Map Window GIS software platform. The software for the Leica TPS Series measuring robots, automated monitoring and database management functions. This control software is the first and so set, then connect the measuring robot that can automate measurements. The software used in the Xilinhot 2 victory in the East open pit slope monitoring project, to achieve automatic control measuring robot for monitoring purpose.
