The shearer cutting unit is the important part of high-power shearer, due to the troubled and complicated working environment and the changing loads,the shearer cutting unit often appears virbration and swing phenomenons when working.The working stability and service life of shearer cutting unit is directed effected by the extreme climatic and vibration of its. Because the troubled working environment, the test on the physical prototype of shearer cutting unit not only expensive but also the risk is lagge, therefor,it is necessary to study the vibration characteristics of shearer cutting unit based on the virtual prototype technology.A virtual rigid-flex coupled prototyping of a new type high-power shearer cutting unit is established based on four software of Pro/ENGINEER?ADAMS?ANSYS and MATLAB, and the forced vibration analysis of shearer cutting unit model is carried out based on the ADAMS/Vibration module to obtain the main modal parameters of shearer cutting unit and analyze the effects of main vibration sources to shearer cutting unit,the fall short of shearer cutting unit is discovered according to the result of analysis. The research work presents the structure design and improvement of drive system of shearer cutting unit is done based on the design requirement and transmission characteristics of shearer cutting units in the view of improve the reliability and stability of shearer cutting unit.With a planetary gear transmission insteads of the fourth parallel axis gear transmission which provides the largest contribution to vibration deformation of shearer cutting unit and reduces the transmission ratio of the third parallel axis gear transmission. By optimizing and improving, The phenomenon of torsional vibration of shearer cutting unit is eliminated. The results of comparative analysis the acceleration response curve of shearer cutting unit and the free modal and constrained modal of shearer cutting unit shell before and after optimization show that the shearer cutting unit and shell have good dynamic performances with vibration value obvious reducing after the structure improvement. The vibration parameters meet the design demand.The study method and analysis results offer reference for the design,measure and optimization of the high-power shearer,which have guidance for the engineering practice.In addition,the multi-domain modeling and simulation analysis technology can also be used in other complex mechanical system,in order to shorten the design cycle,cut down the research costs,and enhance the performance of the product.
