Continuous casting has shown its great superiority in declining production costs, improving economic efficiency, saving energy, discharging pollutants, simplifying processing technology and so on. Ladle turret is a ladle carrying equipment, which can give a quick cross-transport and a continuous casting to the ladle and finish a replacement between the full ladle and the empty ladle. The ladle turret guarantees the continuity of the steel casting combined with the ladle and the mould. We can see that the ladle turret is an important equipment in the workshop of continuous casting. Therefore, if the ladle turret turn up abnormal state when it is woking, the fault diagnosis and analysis is very important. The premise of fault diagnosis is the deep understanding to the strain and the stress level of every components of the ladle turret. The traditional analytic methods and empirical formulas are difficult to calculate the strain and stress level of the whole ladle turret. The paper uses Finite Element Method to calculate the strain and the whole stress. Before making faults diagnosis, we got the strain and stress distribution state to some key components through the Finite Element Analysis of ANSYS to locate the detection position for detecting the strain, stress and vibration signal of the main components. According to the different conditions of the working process of the ladle rotating table respectively the strain, stress and vibration acceleration signal test and analysis. Through the analysis of the testing signal and ANSYS analysis, finding out the cause of ladle rotating table impact vibration and noise of the cause of the problem, through targeted maintenance, fault phenomenon disappeared.
