Automate Pattern Design By Linking Three-dimensional Scanning And Garment CAD Technology

Currently,after development of decades,three-dimensional body scanning technology and garment CAD technology not only has maked a constanly breakthrough in its continued research,but also with a growing popularity of industrial usage and applicability.However,three-dimensional body scanning technology and garment CAD technology are studied separately,it willl be a meaningful research direction to link three-dimensional body scanning technology with auto-generation of pattern technology of garment CAD,which can play their advantages of personality,accuraty,high speed.Presently,if the researchers want to use the body data from body scanner into clothing pattern designing.they have to do many aided works to support it at first.The innovation of this paper is that linking three-dimensional scanning and CAD technology to auto-generate garment patternsan break the gap between three-dimensional scanning and auto-generation of garment patterns,and make the body data be applied fast,accurately and effectively,use three-dimensional body scanning existing technological achievements effectively.Besides,it can promote garment pattern designing technology,improve the production efficiency,transform the state and improve the competitiveness of garment industry.Finally,applying this kind of technology,we can do research on special body shapes,and it can be used in MTM to meet the customers’ specific requirements for their own body shapes,and make MTM much more scientific and automatic.This research based on both theory and practice.It includes five parts in detail as follows:1.Review of the literature,know the research status of autogenerating garment patterns thechnology and master the research method.2.Do anthropometric experiments by[TC]2 scanning system and analize data extraction,wrate software program which can achieve the automatic selection of key data,file format by.ord into Excel.3.Based on software enviroment of Autopattern design system in Modasoft CAD,design linkage plug-in,which can import human data automatically.4.Based on software enviroment of Autopattern design system in Modasoft CAD,integrate automatic garment pattern technique,do modular design of typical garmentbody,collar,sleeves.5.The operation of the system test,to realize auto-generate typical garment patterns which from extracting three-dimensional body scanning data automaticly to garment CAD software environment.In this paper,the experiment results prove the idea of linking three-dimensional body scanning technology andgarment CAD technology to auto-generate garment patterns is feasible.The idea in detail as follows:design linkage plug-ins,connect body three-dimensional scanning system with two-dimensional cloth CAD pattern design system,extract more than two thousand body data automatic from tree-dimensional scanning system,choose necessary and useful body data,put the data into cloth pattern design system automatic,and finally,get the patterns.
