As we all know, the 2010 Nobel Prize in physics caused a "graphite heat". Since then, the use of graphite set off a boom during all countries in the word. Relative to others, China's graphite mineral resources rank first in reserves and production. Flake graphite has a high temperature resistance, good electrical conductivity, thermal properties, acid corrosion, and is very good solid lubricant due to its unique layered structured, so the flake graphite, in electronics, chemical industry and other fields, has been widely used. As to the economic value of flake graphite, especially large flake graphite, has a great advantage, but because of the shortcomings of its fragile characteristics and conditions of production, large flake graphite is easily destroyed.So large flake graphite production is difficult to meet market demand. Thus, this study aimed to explore the best flotation process to protect the graphite crystal to destroy,and then optimize the regrinding process, largely improve the yield and quality of concentrate. Therefore, this study has great economic significance and reality significance.In this paper, first made mineralogical analysis to original mineral rock ANSHAN, and the experimental results showed that the content of fixed carbon is 10.84%,mainly exhibits scaly,flaky monomers or aggregates. Meanwhile, this paper analyzed the dissemination characteristics of Anshan rock mining, the analysis results indicated that the graphite mine in this size class +0.15 mm larger particles accounted for 35.44%.The experiment can be divided into two main parts, the first part was to select suitable chemicals, and the second part is to find the effects of equipment, media, and the ratio of media in regrinding process, which sample was from raw material testified with optimal chemical conditions in roughing process. Experimental results show that, when re-grinding equipment is the vibration mill, the medium is steel balls and the column ratio of 1:2, the graphite crystals is least destroyed. Therefore, in this condition, rough concentrate regrinding, open circuit test, middings returning to the mine, and closed-circuit tests, all were conducted, and experiments finally obtained fixed carbon content of 96.45% of the concentrate and the recovery rate can reach94.11 %, grain size of the graphite level +0.15 mm reached a yield of 17.18%.
