Researching on the effects of the casting roll masking ZrO2 thermal barrier coating of laser technology came from the Hebei province natural science foundation projects.Based on the research,the main content of this paper is researching the zirconia thermal barrier coatings by laser cladding technology to improve the service life of the pulling straightening roller.A finite element model for analyzing the transient temperature field of three-dimension moving laser remelting Zr-8% coating prepared by plasma spraying on H13 hot die steel.The model was based on the existed temperature field model of single-pass laser remelting,which was established by using the ANSYS parametric design in language.The effects of different lap rations on the temperature field were compared.According to the simulation results,a multi-lap laser remelting experiment was carried out on the surface of plasma sprayed salples of both conventional and nanoscale specifications.The microstructures of the surface and the cross-section of the coating were observed and the element distribution was measured.After laser remelting the porosity and the number of microcracks of Nano coating is smaller than that of conventional coating.The results showed that the hardness,abrasion resistance and thermal shock resistance of the coating were improved after laser remelting and the coating can improve the service life of continuous casting machine.Used ANSYS to simulate the temperature field of the tension roller.The laser remelting of zirconia thermal barrier coating can significantly reduce the working temperature of the pulling straightening roller,the purpose of the research can be achieved.
