Graphite is one of the earliest applied non metallic minerals and it has became an indispensable material in many industrial sectors due to its unique physical and chemicall properties with growing demand. The good flake graphite is decreasing rapidly because of continuous exploitation, so research on microgranular flake graphite received more and more attention. Huge reserves of microgranular flake graphite can not be used due to lack of technical support in in Henan Anyang area.So it has great significance on researching the benefication of refractory microgranular flake graphite.This article paid attention two kinds of microgranular flake graphite(named A, B) in Henan Anyang area. Detailed researchs of beneficiation process on two kinds of graphite sample(A,B) was conducted on the basis of process mineralogical research,respectively.Then we studied mixture ratio and mineral processing technology on the basis of the research results above and obtained the following cognitions:(1) The process mineralogy indicated that the fixed carbon of A is 12.09% with fine scale.It is hard to liberate the graphite by grinding because 85.44% particle size is less than 10 millimeter. It is easy to produce lots of slime when grinding with weathere dgangue minerals feldspar and fine grained muscovite interlaced intergrowth with graphite;The fixed carbon of A is 9.97% with 91.86% particle size less than 0.045 millimeter.It has the same phase composition with A exceped the lower fixed carbon.The Muscovite is parallel intergrowth with the graphite sheets. So they are both refractory graphite and B is better than A.(2) We confirmed a one-time roughing and one-time scavenging, five-time regrinding and six-time cleaning open-circuit for A with 66.52% concentrate grade,75.46% flotation recovery.A closed-circuit with one-time rough grinding, one-time roughing and one-time scavenging, five-time regrinding and six-time cleaning to the rough concentrate,one grinding and scavenging to the mixture of middling 1~4 returning to the rougher,the middling 5~7 returned to the regrinding I for B with concentrate grade 93.10%,flotation recovery 96.95% and yield 10.31%.(3) Analyses on difference of beneficiation process characteristics indicated that A is softer than B,it gains a higher grinding fineness with the grinding time.its dosages of diesel,pine oil are significantly higher than that of B with a worse flotation index.We confirme the best mixture mass ratio is A:B=1:1 and a closed-circuit one-time rough grinding, one-time roughing and one-time scavenging, five-time regrinding and six-time cleaning to the rough concentrate. one grinding and scavenging to the mixture of middling 1~3 returning to the rougher,the middling 4~6 returned to the regrinding I with concentrate grade 87.68%, flotation recovery 85.03%.Successed to recovery the refractory microgranular flake graphite ore in different location with different properties in Henan Nanyang.
