In this paper, the preparation of chloromethylated polystyrene resin and its amination grafting reaction was investigated, as well as the adsorption properties of Cu2+/amino composite resin to phosphate. Firstly,1,4-dichloromethoxybutane, which was safe and environmentally friendly, was prepared by hemi-acetal reaction. Chloromethylated polystyrene pellets were prepared by alkylation reaction. Then, different amination reagents such as trimethylamine aqueous solution, diethylenetriamine and triethylenetetramine were grafted onto chlorine balls to obtain amino resin. Cu2+/amino composite resin was prepared by complexing Cu2+ with amino resin. The functional group content of amino resin was determined by ion-exchange column method, and its structure was characterized by infrared spectroscopy. The results showed that the chloromethylation reaction rate could be effectively controlled by slow dropping chloromethylation reagent, and the side reactions were reduced.Triethylenetetramine as amination reagent, the content of amino resin functional group is up to 4.15mmol/g.The adsorption of amino resin was greatly improved to phosphate by coordination Cu2+ to amino resin, and its saturated adsorption capacity of 1.012mg/mL.The higher the concentration of impurity NaCl in the solution, the slower the phosphate adsorption rate of the composite resinIn this study,a kind of polystyrene sulfonic acid-amino resin was developed. It was found that the ratio of sulfonic acid groups to amino groups can be controlled by adjusting the ratio of materials, reaction time and reaction temperature, which was used to adsorpt heavy metals in industrial wastewater.
