Under the environment of economic globalization, the market competition of numerical control equipment is becoming more and more fierce with the continuous development of computer information technology. Numerical control equipment manufacturing enterprises are facing double pressure of improving the quality of products and after-sales service. Due to product changes and the diversity of demand,the life cycle of numerical control equipment is gradually shortened. We must make a breakthrough in the after-sales service of the product.Therefore, this paper designs a remote maintenance system based on CNC equipment, which is used to realize remote diagnosis and remote repair of NC equipment.In this paper, the remote maintenance system based on numerical control equipment is composed of four parts: numerical control equipment on-site client, PC maintenance client, mobile maintenance client and server. Means of character communication, voice communication, video communication, remote control and file transfer function realize remote diagnosis and repair of numerical control equipment. This paper introduces the overall design of the remote maintenance system, determines the use of C/S operation mode as the network structure, and chooses NC embedded PC type CNC equipment as the research object. According to the characteristics of TCP protocol and UDP protocol, the specific communication protocol of each function module is determined. The problem of penetrating intranet is solved by the method of forwarding data by a server which has a public IP address,as the basis for the implementation of the server function. At last, the implementation methods and codes of each function module are introduced. Video comm uni cations and remote maintenance of the speed bottleneck problem and display and operation interface of mobile maintenance terminal problem are solved.The remote maintenance system designed in this paper can make maintenance personnel to fault diagnosis and repair of CNC equipment cross an area. It reduces the cost of remote maintenance of CNC equipment and response time. At the same time, it brings economic benefits for CNC equipment manufacturers and users. The simulation results show that the system has good stability and reliability, and can realize the remote maintenance of NC equipment.
