A Story Generating Algorithm And Its Application In Food Traceability

In recent years,food safety incidents in China occurred frequently which have attracted much attention.The way to guarantee the entire process of food safety system from source to table is a hot topic of concern.As an important way to solve this problem,food traceability technology been achieved in this area after several years’ development,however,compared with the growing demand,the existing technology still has the following shortcomings:(1)The information of traceability lacks of intelligence,and has poor user experience;(2)Traceability information is not complete and lack of persuasion.In view of the above shortcomings of the existing food traceability technology,this paper presents a new solution.The main work can be summarized as follows:(1)In order to solve the problem that the traceability of information lacks of intelligence and led to poor user experience,a SGA(Story Generating Algorithm)algorithm is proposed in this paper.Recur to the finite automata theory,SGA gives the strict formal definition of the story elements such as stories,scenes,episodes and events,and derives the story template according to the production rules.The final story is automatically generated by incorporating the product data into the template.(2)Applying the SGA algorithm to the application of traceability of agricultural products,a prototype of the traceability system of meat products is designed and implemented,which includes some major functional modules,such as the feeding management,the slaughtering and processing,the supervision of logistics and transportation,the cold storage management,the E-Shop,traceability management and story traceability,and so on.Experimental results from the system show that the SGA algorithm mentioned in this paper can realize the automatic generation of the product traceability story and improve the user’s experience of traceability to a certain extent.
