With the proposal of the “Made in China 2025” plan,the manufacturing industry is ushered in a new direction of development —— the intelligent manufacturing?Intelligent selection of cutting parameters plays an important role in intelligent manufacturing technology.The selection of cutting parameters has a great influence on the production efficiency,machining quality and tool life.At present,the selection of cutting parameters mainly depends on the experience of technologists or the cutting parameter handbook,so it has a great dependence on people.Due to the existence of human subjectivity,it will restrict the manufacturing resources to maximize their effectiveness.To solve the above problems,the paper investigates the optimization of cutting parameters and the representation of cutting parameters in knowledge base and reasoning method combined with the findings of artificial intelligence technology.The main contents of the research are as follows:(1)The paper gives a brief introduction to the intelligent manufacturing of elevator parts,and analyzes the research status of selection of cutting parameters and knowledge base system at home and abroad.Then,it analyzes the problems existing in the enterprises of the selection of cutting parameters.Finally the paper summarizes the development trend of this direction,and sorts out the key contents and chapters arrangement of this subject.(2)The paper analyzes the principle of cutting parameters in the discrete manufacturing process of elevator parts,and summarizes the cutting performance of the materials used in the elevator parts and the reasonable selection principle of cutting conditions in the cutting process,then takes analysis and planning for machining a key parts of the elevator process routes.(3)The paper analyzes the optimization method of cutting parameters of elevator parts,and determines the optimal variables.By studying on the related factors of the actual process,and with the concept of green and low-carbon manufacturing,the paper establishes the cutting process optimization model for continuous work step which has the cutting objective function of the minimum processing time and minimum CO2 emissions.Researching on the implementation method of multi-objective optimization,the paper proposes an improved artificial fish swarm algorithm which based on Pareto to the multi-objective optimization,and then applies it to the actual cutting process to provide case knowledge for knowledge base.(4)On the basis of the analysis of the factors of the manufacturing process of the elevator parts,the paper gives the whole structure of the knowledge base of the cutting parameters of elevator parts.Using various techniques and methods to establish the knowledge representation of cutting parameters,and then the intelligent selection method of cutting parameters based on CBR and RBR is determined.(5)Lastly,based on the theory of the research,the paper shows a prototype system of cutting parameters which is designed by using PowerBuilder as the front-end development tools and Microsoft SQL Server 2012 as the background database.Also the MATLAB language has used during the development of the prototype system which can initially realize intelligent selection of cutting parameters.
