Safety Assessment Of Water Quality In The Water Source Of The Middle Route Project Of The South To North Water Transfer Project In Henan Province

Water quality and safety of water sources of the middle route project of the south to North Water Transfer Project affect the 38 million people along the river.Protect the water quality and ecological security of the water source area is of great significance.Evaluation of water quality safety include two aspects: water quality evaluation and ecological security assesment.we use single-factor appraisal and synthetical pollution index method to anlysis the present situation of water quality from the year of 2006 to 2015.The single-factor evaluation indicates that the water quality situation from 2006 to 2015 meet the standard of surface water environmental unction areas(class ? of Environmental quality standard of surface water).The synthetical pollution index method evaluation result shows that the index was between 0.314 and 0.388.The water quality situation was clean yet in Danjiangkou reservoir.And the index was between 0.212 to 0.359,The water quality situation was clean yet in Canal head.The synthetical pollution index suggest that the water quality in dry season is better than in rain season according to the change trend of water quality in a year.The comprehensive pollution index of water quality of Danjiangkou reservoir area is over 0.4,and the water quality is light pollution.Health of the ecological system is evaluated by the method of fuzzy mathematics.the evaluation results show that water ecosystem health level in water source area is 0.560,The ecological structure is complete and has a certain system vitality,but the external pressure is relatively large.In this paper suggestions for the protection of the ecological environment in water source area was put forward such as strengthen pollution control,ecological construction,rational use of resources to improve resource utilization and accelerate the construction of soil and water conservation measures to provide protection for the water quality of the South North Water Transfer project.
