In recent years,snack food is increasingly popular with consumers,and has become an ideal choice for people to travel home.The popularity of snack foods has contributed to the development of its packaging design,at the same time,consumers have a new request for packaging design.The change of the consumer’s values and cultural level,the improvement of consumption level and ability,the mature of consumer psychology and consciousness,impels consumers not to follow the market blindly any more.Consumer’s requirements of the packaging is no longer a simple concern for the protection of goods this basic function.Packaging has become a part of brand recognition,in a highly competitive market environment responsible for telling the story of the brand,promoting cultural concept and aesthetic task.but also becomes a bridge between enterprises and clients.Both commercial and artistic features can be represent by packaging design,it makes the role of packaging become a important factor in business.Now the designers advocated that in order to create more of a selling point for the commodity,the packaging and contents is integrated,food packaging is developed multi-faceted and multi-angle.Therefore,this topic discussion of snack food packaging design strategies from the perspective of aesthetics and Functionality.First of all,overview of the design of snack food packaging,delineate and define the concept of snack foods,and around the connotation of snack food packaging design,made a detailed exposition on the development and constraints,as the theory support.Secondly,in the consumer psychology,analysis of the consumer’s psychological needs and purchasing psychology,and the individual needs ofdifferent groups,fully grasp the impact of consumer psychology on the design of snack food packaging,from the psychological level for the subject to provide theoretical support.In the meanwhile,combined with a large number of successful cases of snack food packaging,summarized three key points of the snack food packaging aesthetic and Functionality design:With visual,taste,tactile element design to strengthen the consumer’s sensory experience,and cause their attention.Discuss how to expand the additional functionality of packaging in a market and consumer perspective,thereby improving the functional value of packaging and establishing sustainable and effective communication with consumers.Combined with the era development and snack food packaging design,make the packaging more dynamic and competitive.Finally,applying the above theories and methods,"Koala brothers" dried fruit packaging as the design object,research and analysis of the current situation of dry fruit packaging market and consumer preferences,and re-analyzes the design positioning and planning of "Koala brothers" dried fruit packaging,attempting to break through the existing status of dried food packaging.
