Numerical control machine tool is the significant part of the manufacturing industry.As one of the most efficient numerical control machine tools,machining center has been widely used in the daily production-manufacturing.In order to meet market demand,improve enterprise economic benefits,it is very important to optimize complete machine and key structures of the machining center.As the main supporting part of the machining center,the good static and dynamic performance of the column can ensure the machining accuracy of the machining center.Based on the experience,the traditional optimization design largely restricts the promotion of the machining center's performance.At present,it is the main way to improve the static and dynamic performance of the key structure by the optimal design theory.In this paper,based on the analysis and summary of the finite element analysis and optimum structural design method,the column structure of the SZJY-14 machining center is taken as the research object,the main research are carried out as follows:Firstly,this paper complete the establishment of column 3D model,the selection of the working condition,the calculation of cutting force and meshing and other preparatory work.The static and dynamic characteristics analysis are carried out by finite element method,to find the weak parts of the column structure.And two kinds of optimal design methods are put forward.Secondly,according to the optimal design theory based on the sensitivity analysis,the column structure is optimized.The main characteristic dimensions of the column structure are modified by ANSYS.The 3D model is established according to the optimized result,and the finite element analysis is carried out.The result show that the static and dynamic performance is basically unchanged,and the weight loss is8.3%.Finally,according to the topology optimization method and theory based on the variable density method,the topology optimization design of the column structure is completed.In this paper,three kinds of optimization schemes are put forward.The Hyper Works is used to obtain three kinds of optimized results,and the best force path of the results is selected to build 3D model.The second topology optimization is carried out by using the 2D plate shell element as the basic unit.The best force transferring path of the rib is obtained.Based on the results of the topologyoptimization,the optimization model of the column structure is established,and the finite element analysis is carried out.The analysis result show that the static performance is basically unchanged,the dynamic performance increased by 10.7%,and the weight loss is 13.1%.The two kinds of structural optimization design methods presented in this paper has obvious effect on the optimization of the SZJY-14 machining center column structure,and solve the problems of the large weight and insufficient performance of the original structure.And the two kinds of optimization design method in this paper can be applied to the optimization design of other machining center structures.
