In long horizontal wells, early water or gas may breakthrough into the wellbore due to the imbalanced production profile caused by the heel-toe effect, reservoir anisotropic, reservoir heterogeneity or fracture-existing.Once coning occurs, oil production may severely decrease due to the limited flow contribution from the non-coning regions.Inflow control devices(ICD)are installed to maintain the flow across production zones uniformly by creating an additional pressure drop which cancels out the imbalanced production profile.Aiming at various current ICD,numerical simulation software Fluent is used to analyze their performance.Based on large amount of numerical results, this paper built an ICD selection diagram, which considers the fluid property sensitivity, plugging and erosion resistances, combining the fuzzy evaluation and dynamic weight theory. The optimal ICD can be selected with the help of ICD selection diagram once reservoir condition is determined, which has the best resistance to plugging and erosion, and the least viscosity sensitivity.Furthermore,on the basis of previous researches,we design a new type of AICD,analyze its flow field and optimize its structure through the software Fluent. On the basis of optimization,we analyze the fluid parameter sensitivities of the device(flow rate, water content, viscosity and density)and get the result that the AICD has good steady oil and water control ability, the hydraulic loss of which is 5 times as the oil phase. At last,we apply the numerical simulation software to analyze the inflow performance of this new AICD,so that we get the influence law of this AICD to the ultimate recovery and production capacity.
