Currently,energy-saving retrofits of public buildings are effective for reducing the energy consumption.The energy consumption statistics of commercial buildings in Tangshan was made.Based on the statistical results,the paper took a large-scale commercial building as an example to analyze the energy-saving potential of exterior envelope of buildings,sunshade and energy saving control,and air-conditioning system.Main conclusions are summarized as follows:The annual electricity consumption of commercial buildings in Tangshan ranged from 91.1kWh/m~2 to 208.3kWh/m~2,and the average value was 155.99kWh/m~2.Most of the maximum value occured in August,and the average value of maximum value in august was 16.46kWh/m~2,which was 47.0% higher than the minmum value.A quota level form of electricity consumption of Tangshan's commercial buildings was calculated using surveyed data,with which would provide guidelines for energy conservation.A standardized physical model for typical commercial buildings in Tangshan was presented using the software EnergyPlus.The simulation result showed that the annual electricity consumption was 155.97kWh/m~2,closing to the average value of the object commercial building.The highest proportion of energy consumption in air-conditioning system was 41.7%.And the highest proportion of fan energy consumption was 66.7%,which was at the end of air handling units in the air-conditioning systemThe result indicated that the total ratio of saving energy was 0.4% after the exterior envelope was retrofited,and the annual electricity consumption dropped to 155.32kWh/m~2.The ratio of saving energy was 10.0% after sunshading and lighting of the building was retrofitted,and the annual electricty consumption dropped to 140.38kWh/m~2.The ratio of saving enegy was 4.2% after air-conditioning system was retrofited,and annual electricty consumption dropped to 149.44kWh/m~2.The ratio of saving energy was 13.9% after the building was retrofited synthetically,and the annual electricty consumption dropped to 134.34kWh/m~2.Furthermore,the quota level value reaches 0.70 basically.The climatic adaption study has showed that the energy retrofit methods in this paper are generally adaptive to the whole cold areas.Finally,when the inside temperature set point increased from 25? to 26?,27?,28?,the electricity consumption of air-conditioning system decreased 9.6%,16.3%,21.3% respectively,and the energy consumption became 149.7kWh/m~2,145.4kWh/m~2,142.1kWh/m~2.Therefore,the ratio of saving energy rised with the increases of differences between supply water temperature and return water tempreture in chilled water system.And the ratio of saving energy in chilled water pump was significantly higher than that of the cooling water pump.
