The level of the reproductive hormones in the women of childbearing age frequently takes place of great changes. Along with the change of reproductive hormone level, some women suffer from mental symptoms and the mental diseases varying from mild to severe. Premenstrual syndrome refers to a series of cyclical symptoms in emotion, behavior, and some body disorders occurred in the period of corpus luteum, and disappeared after menstruation. Premenstrual syndrome is a common gynecologic endocrine disease in women of childbearing age. Early pregnancy symptoms are a series of physical and mental symptoms which are often accompanied by changes of reproductive endocrine system in the first trimester. In recent years, a lot of domestic and foreign literature investigation and researches found that the correlations of clinical symptoms among different reproductive phases with the fluctuation of the level of the reproductive hormone, other researcher thinks that the emergence of these correlations is because these symptoms have a common etiology: one is that genetic susceptibility to the fluctuation of level of reproductive hormone, another cause is that the susceptible to certain symptoms, so the patients will have the same or similar symptoms during the different reproductive phase when the hormone level has an obvious fluctuation. Therefore this study can explain the correlation between the premenstrual symptoms and early pregnancy symptoms by genetic susceptibility to the fluctuation of level of reproductive hormone and the susceptible to certain symptoms. Objectivebased on the correlation analysis between premenstrual and early pregnancy symptoms, to assess the predictive value of premenstrual symptoms for early pregnancy symptoms. MethodsA total of 305 pregnancy women who come to see a doctor of the obstetric department of The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University completed the questionnaire. The statistical software of SPSS 17.0 is used for data processing, Paired t tests were used to test differences between severity of premenstrual symptoms and early pregnancy symptoms. Linear regression analyses and Multiple linear regression analyses were used to analysis correlation between premenstrual symptoms and symptoms in early pregnancy. Results(1) Matching t test shows that differences of frequency and severity between premenstrual and early pregnancy symptoms were significant(t = 6.9, P < 0.001, t = 6.7, P < 0.001).(2) the single factor analysis found that there were a lot of correlations between premenstrual and early pregnancy symptoms.(3) Logistic regression analysis of the results showed that the global severities of symptoms in premenstrual phase and early pregnancy were significantly associated(b =0.4, 95% CI = 0.3-0.5; P < 0.001). The average severity of irritability in premenstrual is still significantly associated with the overall severity of symptoms occurred in the first trimester(b = 0.1, 95% CI = 0.0 0.2; P < 0.05). Conclusion(1) The early pregnancy and premenstrual has a similar pattern of the physical and mental symptom. a spirit of psychological symptoms during early pregnancy can be predicted by premenstrual symptoms.in early pregnancy, the probability and severity of symptoms appeared in premenstrual phase were increased.(2)The overall severity of premenstrual symptoms can predict the overall severity of early pregnancy symptoms, irritability is a common premenstrual symptom, the severity of premenstrual irritability is the best predictor of global severity of early pregnancy symptoms.
