Professor Li Zhenhua,a National physician master, coming from medicine family, with reading classical Chinese medicine books and mastering various skills,is good at treating spleen and stomach disease and intractable diseases, especially for the treatment of chronic gastritis with his own special ideas in more than 60 years, which come from clinical activities, teaching and researching.Throughout the current state of traditional Chinese medicine for clinical treatment of chronic gastritis, more doctors choose the therapy of treating the spleen and stomach,or the liver and stomach,or the liver and spleen, and so on.It is lacking of unified understanding. Professor Li Zhenhua, at the research on chronic gastritis for decades, put forward the theory of three viscera stomach, spleen and liver together, according the clinical characteristics of the disease, especially in the clinical treatment of chronic gastritis. Therefore, the author, under the guidance of tutor, widely reading TCM classical books, taking the traditional Chinese medicine theory as the core, discuss the close link of the three viscera in treating chronic gastritis, which isputting forward and the application of the theory of the corresponding basis. The paper mainly includes four parts. The first part:Seeking for the academic origin and theoretical basis about curing the stomach, spleen and liver together in treating chronic gastritis.I will explore the source of the theory from Huangdi Neijing, Treatise on Febrile disease, "The theory of Spleen and Stomach", "Clinical guidelines for basis" and so on classics of TCM.The second part:studying in depth, with clinical medicine theory, discussing the close relationship between the stomach, spleen and liver. The disease of spleen can transfers to the stomach. The disease of stomach can transfers to the spleen. And the same, the three viscera can transfers to each other, which induces worse for all. This will provide strong theoretical support. The third part:putting forward the theory of three viscera stomach, spleen and liver together n treating chronic gastritis. About the understanding and academic experience on treating chronic gastritis, Professor Li Zhenhua raises five points. Firstly, thinking of that chronic gastritis disease mainly occurs in the stomach, which is closely related to the liver and spleen; Secondly, putting forward that the deficiency of spleen and stomach qi is the main pathogenesis of chronic gastritis. Thirdly, proposing that deficiency of spleen qi, stagnationof stomach qi, and depression of liver qi are important foundations for chronic gastritis occurring;Fourthly, emphasizing that promoting spleen, dredging liver, regulating stomach are Main methods for the treatment of chronic gastritis;Fifthly, being skilled in using Xiangshaliujunzi Tang, which learns from the ancient physicians, but does not copy. The fourth part:The Professor Li Zhenhua types the treatment of chronic gastritis into three sub-types in general. That is:Firstly, the syndrome of qi deficiency of spleen and stomach. The treatment is nourishing spleen and enriching Qi,and regulating Stomach and Sending down Ascending Qi. Recipe is the addition and subtraction of Xiangshaliujunzi Tang.Secondly, syndrome of incoordination between liver and stomach. The treatment is soothing Liver and activating Spleen, and regulating qi-flowing for harmonizing stomach. Recipe is the addition and subtraction of Xiaoyao San.Thirdly, syndrome of deficiency of stomach yin. The treatment is replenishing yin and regulating stomach, andregulating vital energy, clearing heat. Recipe is the addition and subtraction of Shashenmaidong Tang.
