Methods: MRI images of 42 glioma patients were collected. Five of imaging features such as degrees of edema,contrasted/T2 ratio, mass effect, cystic change, necrosis and enhancement were selected to identify their relationship with Ki-67 and MGMT expression in patients with glioma. The relationship between imaging features and molecular pathology was studied by using the software of SPSS 19.0 and chi-square test. Results: High level of pathological grading indicated a high frequency of contrasted/T2 ratio <1(P<0.01).High level of pathological grading indicated a higher degree of edema(P<0.01).High level of pathological grading indicated more possibility of cystic change or necrosis(P<0.01).High level of pathological grading indicated a high level of enhancement(P<0.01).High level of pathological grading also indicated more possibility of mass effect(P<0.01).Low expression of Ki-67 was correlated with a low frequency of contrasted/T2 ratio <1(P<0.05); High expression of Ki-67 was correlated with more possibility of cystic change or necrosis(P<0.05); Low expression of Ki-67 was correlated with a low level of enhancement(P<0.01); Low expression of Ki-67 was also correlated with less possibility of mass effect(P<0.01); Expression level of MGMT was inversely correlated with degree of edema(P<0.05). Conclusion: Some MR imaging features such as degrees of edema, contrasted/T2 ratio, mass effect, cystic change, necrosis and enhancement were correlated with Ki-67 and MGMT of glioma multiforme. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Glioma, MRI, Ki-67, MGMT | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
