Purpose:To evaluate value of DKI parameters in astrocytoma grading and to investiga te correlationbetween DKI parameters and K i67?PCNA expression levels. Methods:60 patients were collected with astrocytoma confirmed pathologically,including 24 low-grade astrocytoma(grade1 and 2) and 36 high- grade astrocytoma(grade3 and 4),ranging from March 2013 to December 2015 in First Hospital of Shanxi Medical Unversity.All patients underwent conventional MR and DKI scans before operation.MK ?FA and MD values were measured in tumor solid area of each patient three times and then mean values were caculated.Expression of K i67 and PCNA were detected in 60 patients after operation.Student's t test was used to compare DKI values?Ki67 and PCNA expression levels among groups.Spearman correlation test was used to analyze correlation between DKI values?K i67 and PCNA expression levels. Results:(1)In tumor solid area,MK values of high- grade astrocytoma was significantly higher(P=0.001)than that of low-grade astrocytoma,MD values of high- grade astrocytoma was significantly lower(P=0.002) than that of low- grade astrocytoma,while FA values was no statistically significant(P=0.052)between high- grade and low-grade astrocytoma.(2)Expression degree of K i67 in high- grade astrocytoma(29.4±7.5)%was significantly higher than that in low- grade astrocytoma(7.4±2.3)%(P=0.000).Expression degree of PCNA in high-grade astrocytoma(53.4±17.5)% was significantly higher than that in low-grade astrocytoma(17.4±7.3)%(P=0.000).(3)MK values was correlated with the positive expression of K i67(r=0.842;P=0.000),and had a significantly positive correlation with PCNA(r=0.871;P=0.000).MD values was correlated with the negative expression of K i67(r=-0.613;P=0.000),and had a significantly negative correlation with PCNA(r=-0.725;P=0.000).But FA valueswas observed no correlation with K i67(r=0.054;P=0.612) and PCNA(r=0.073;P=0.564). Conclution:DKI parameters MK?MD values and K i67?PCNA of high- grade astrocytoma were different from those of low-grade astrocytoma.DKI parameters were correlated with K i67 and PCNA expression levels,which can provide infomation about astrocytoma proliferation and guide individual diagnosis and treatment of brain astrocytoma before operation.
