Objective: Investigate the safety and feasibility of the anesthesia induction with oxycodone hydrochloride combined with midazolam and etomidate in elderly patients. Methods:One hundred patients, gender unlimited, aged from 60 to 80 years old,BMI18 to 25 kg/m2, ASA grade I to II,scheduled forelective surgery under general anesthesia, were randomly divided into two groups(n=50 each):oxycodone hydrochloridegroup(group O)andsufentanil group(group S).After entering the room, conventional oxygen inhalation, warming blanket insulation, monitoring electrocardiogram(ECG), blood pressure(MAP), pulse oxygen saturation(Sp O2), heart rate(HR) and bispectral index(BIS), open one side of the upper limb vein.Anesthesiainduction was induced with intravenously infusion of midazolam 0.05mg?kg-1, etomidate 0.3 mg?kg-1, cisatracurium besilate 0.15 mg?kg-1,oxycodone hydrochloride 0.1mg?kg-1(group O)or sufentanil 0.3μg?kg-1(group S).Endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation were performed after muscle relaxation.Bispectral index(BIS),Mean arterial pressure(MAP),heart rate(HR),pulse oxygen saturation(Sp O2)were recorded before the induction(T0), patients lost consciousness(T1), before the endotracheal intubation(T2),1 min after endotracheal intubation(T3),3 min afterendotracheal intubation(T4), 5 min after endotracheal intubation(T5).Adverse events(cough, hypotension, hypertension, bradycardia, tachycardia, muscle tremor, low BIS value, etc.) of the cases were recorded, during anesthesia induction. Results:Two groups of age, gender, BMI, ASA classification were not statistically significant difference(all P>0.05);Before induction, after corresponding time points, the two groups of Sp O2 were not statistically different(all P>0.05). At T1 to T5, two groups of BIS values were lower than T0(all P<0.05), at T1, two group BIS values were not statistically significant(P>0.05);At T2 to T5, BISvalues of group S were significantly lower than the group O(all P<0.05), and the cases of low BIS value in group S were more than that in group O(P<0.05).At T1 and T2, two groups of MAP were lower than T0(both P<0.05), andthe MAP of the group S was lower than that of the group O(both P<0.05);MAP compared at T3 to T5, within the group(compared with T0) and there was no statistical difference between the groups(all P>0.05). At T1 and T2, two groups of HR were lower than T0(both P<0.05), there were no statistically significant differences between the groups(both P>0.05);At T3 two groups of HR higher than T0(P<0.05), there was no difference between groups(P>0.05);HR compared at T4 to T5, within the group(compared with T0) and there was no statistical difference between the groups(both P>0.05).In the two groups, at the beginning of the injection to T1 with the time and at the beginning of the injection to T2 with the time was not statistically significant difference(both P>0.05).Adverse events(cough, hypotension, bradycardia, low BIS value) of the cases in the group Sweremore than those in the group O(all P<0.05);Conclusion: 1、Compared with 0.3 μg?kg-1sufentanil, 0.1mg?kg-1Oxycodone hydrochloride foranesthesia induction in elderly patients can provide similar static depth, can reduce thecardiovascular responses, avoid awareness. Oxycodone hydrochloride can meet the requirement for induction of general anesthesia in elderly patients, can be used as one of the options.2、0.1mg?kg-1Oxycodone hydrochloride is safe and effective for induction of general anesthesia in elderly patients, the incidence of adverse events was low, compared with sufentanil has obvious advantages.
