Clinical Study On Warm Needling On Jiaji Point With Acupoint Injection In The Treatment Of Post Herpetic Neuralgia With Qi Deficiency And Blood Stasis

Objective: This topic was observing the improvement of symptoms before and after treatment of Post Herpetic Neuralgia(PHN)with Qi deficiency and blood stasis by the traditional Warm needling method with modern Acupoint injection.Meanwhile,taking the Visual Analog Scale(VAS),Present Pain Intensity(PPI)and TCM syndrome score as observation indexes to evaluate the therapy's clinical effects for that disease objectively.Thus,providing a effective and safeful acupuncture treatment program for it.Methods: Selecting 70 patients of PHN with Qi deficiency and blood stasis who were in accordance with the inclusive criteria as the cases of study.By the random number table,these patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group according the ratio of 1:1,and each group consisted of 35 patients.Warm needling on Jiaji point with acupoint injection was used for the treatment group selecting Jiaji,Ashi and Zusanli as acupuncture points simultaneously,when the control group was given Indomethacin enteric-coated Tablets 25 mg/time by 3 times a day at the beginning which increased to 125~150 mg/day gradually if no adverse reactions and given Mecobalamin Tablets 0.5mg/time by 3 times a day.During treatment,all patients mustn't drink coffee,wine and others excitative,When prohibit to use Chinese or Western medicines which taking similar effectiveness with the study drug and use the other treatments,such as massage,hot therapy,etc.Besides,keep away from cold water,especially afflicted part.The treatment group was in a treatment course for 5 days,resting 2 days after completion of each course,when The other group was for 7 days a treatment course.The curative effect of both groups were evaluated after 3 courses.Evaluating the curative effect by VAS,PPI and TCM syndrome score before treatment,after finished treatment and one month after finished treatment.The adverse events would be recorded at any time during the course.Finally,all scientific data collected by this study would be analyzed by statistical software of SPSS17.0.Results:(1)Before treatment,the gender,age,location and course of the treatment and control group were no significant difference(P>0.05),it's comparable.(2)Before treatment,two groups' VAS,PPI and TCM syndrome scores were no significant difference(P>0.05),they had comparability.(3)After three courses of treatment,the two groups of VAS,PPI and TCM syndrome scores compared with before treatment,the differences were significant(P<0.05),suggesting both therapy with good clinical curative effect.(4)After three courses of treatment,it was significant difference(P<0.05)for the treatment group's VAS,PPI and TCM syndrome scores compared with the control group,suggesting the treatment group was superior than the control group in recent curative effect.(5)After one months of treatment,it was significant difference(P<0.05)for the treatment group's VAS and PPI,TCM syndrome scores compared with the control group,suggesting that the long-term curative effect of treatment group was superior than the control group.Conclusion: Two methods of treatment can improve PHN in patients' pianful symptoms;and Warm needling on Jiaji Point with Acupoint injection is superior than the western medicine in the short-term and long-term effect,it is one of the effective methods for treatment of PHN with Qi deficiency and blood stasis.
