Objective:To observe the clinical effect of warming acupuncture at Jiaji combined with local acupuncture around Ashi combined with conventional oral western medicine in treating postherpetic neuralgia(PHN)in the trunk of the middle-aged and elderly. Methods:The subjects in this study were from dermatology clinic patients of Shenhe District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Shenyang City from March 2018 to October 2019.According to the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria,a total of 53 eligible patients were included. The patients were randomly divided into 27 to the treatment group and 26 to the control group. Both the treatment group and the control group were treated with gabapentin capsules and mecobalamin tablets. At the same time,in the treatment group, the warming acupuncture points at the Jiaji points corresponding to the spinal nerve segments combined with local acupuncture around Ashi were taken on the basis of the oral drug treatment. There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in terms of gender, age, course of disease, and pre-treatment scores(P> 0.05),which were comparable.Oral medication was taken continuously for 7 days as a course of treatment;acupuncture treatment was continued for 5 times, and 2 days of rest was a course of treatment for a total of3 courses(21 days). The visual analogue scoring(VAS),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale(PSQI)were used as efficacy indicators.Evaluate before treatment,1 course of treatment,2 courses of treatment, and after treatment, record each score and analyze. Results:A total of 53 eligible cases were included in this study,2 cases fell off in the treatment group,1 case fell off in the control group, and 50 cases were actually completed,25 cases in the treatment group and 25 cases in the control group. The VAS score,HAMD score, and PSQI score of the treatment group and the control group were significantly lower than before the treatment, and each course of treatment was significantly lower than the previous stage, and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.01);Compared with the control group, the first course of treatment of the VAS score in the treatment group was equivalent to the effect of the control group(P> 0.05),and the VAS score of the second course of treatment and after the end of treatment decreased more significantly. The difference was statistically significant(P <0.05);Compared with the control group, the treatment group's HAMD score and PSQI score decreased more significantly in each course, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 92%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 84%.There was a significant difference between the total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group(P <0.05).Conclusion:Warming acupuncture at Jiaji combined with local acupuncture around Ashi combined with conventional oral western medicine for the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia in the trunk of the middle-aged and elderly has a good clinical effect.Compared to Western medicine alone, combination therapy can significantly make the patient's pain level lower, and improve psychological state, sleep quality with stable effect, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
