ObjectiveTo observe the changes of symptoms and signs in patients with PIC caused by wind dryness type of lung infection which treated by the varied Sangxing decoction,and assess the efficacy of the decoction.To investigate the difference of PIC in the treatment of patients with Sangxing decoction after parsimony and to reduce prescription,to achieve the purpose of saving economic costs and improving clinical benefits.Methods54 PIC patients which met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into traditional Chinese and western medicine group A、traditional Chinese and western medicine group B and western medicine group C.The traditional Chinese and western medicine group A take the varied Sangxing decoction 1 and Compound Methoxyphenamine capsules(Asmeton)and Montelukast sodium,the traditional Chinese and western medicine group B take the varied Sangxing decoction 2 and Asmeton and Montelukast sodium,and group C take Asmeton and Montelukast sodium.The period of treatment is 7 days.To observe the change of cough visual analogue scale and clinical symptom Points and TCM symptom scores in the treatment for fourth days and eighth days,to evaluate clinical efficacy and safety after treatment.Results1.Clinical efficacy:On day 4 of treatment,traditional Chinese and western medicine group A total efficiency was 85%,group B was 71.43%,western medicine group C was 61.540%,with no statistically significant differences(P>0.05).On day 8 of treatment,traditional Chinese and western medicine group A total efficiency was 95%,group B was 90.48%,western medicine group C was 61.54%,with statistical differences(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference between group A and group B(P>0.05).Both the traditional Chinese and western medicine group A and B were different in group C(P<0.05),suggesting that both group A and group B confer similar benefits(P>0.05)and the total curative effect is better than the western medicine group C.2.Modified Mulberry apricot decoction 1 and Modified Mulberry apricot decoction 2 confer the similar benefits,the increase of heat clearing and Phlegm resolving drugs did not further improve the clinical efficacy,it shows that we can reduce prescription and reduce unnecessary Chinese drugs in Mulberry apricot decoction.3.Clinical symptom points:The three groups can alleviate the degree of daytime cough,the traditional Chinese and western medicine group A and B were able to relieve the daytime cough in the same degree and were superior to group C(P<0.05).Both the traditional Chinese and western medicine group A and B were able alleviate nocturnal cough(P<0.05),while the western medicine C can not alleviate nocturnal cough(P>0.05).4.TCM symptom scores:Both the traditional Chinese and western medicine group A and B were able to alleviate the symptom of pharyngeal itching and Pharynx foreign body sensation,and were superior to group C(P<0.05).Conclusion1.Modified Mulberry apricot decoction 1 and Modified Mulberry apricot decoction 2 can alleviate the symptom of wind dry lung in jury syndrome of Post-infectious cough,especially alleviate the symptom of Pharyngeal itching and Pharynx foreign body sensation.Chinese and Western curative effect is better than Pure western medicine curative effect,which can improve the total efficiency of 30%。2.Modified Mulberry apricot decoction 1 and Modified Mulberry apricot decoction 2 confer similar benefits,we can reduce the heat clearing and Phlegm resolving drugs.
