Objectives1.To understand the current situation of blood-borne occupational exposure,occupation protection education of the nursing students in the operating room of the hospital.2.To understand the current situation of standard precaution and execution,standard precaution knowledge degree of the nursing students in the operating room of the hospital.3.To analyze the main influencing factors,and propose some reasonable suggestions.4.To improve the knowledge and attitude on the standard precaution of the nursing students to reduce the risk of the blood-borne occupational exposure,and to improve the behavior compliance of the nursing students to reduce the incidence of nosocomial infection.MethodsConvenience sample enrolled 230 nursing students in the operating room of the Jiangsu Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Then,combining the method of questionnaires,interviews and observation and using SPSS statistical software to analyzing the data.Results1.The questionnaire of the blood-borne occupational exposure and the standard precaution had good reliability.2.The cronbach's alpha of this investigation is 0.91.230 questionnaires were distributed to eligible nursing students and a total of 224 were completed with an overall response rate of 98.67%.3.The majority of the nursing students in the operating room were junior college students,only a few were undergraduates and most were female.4.Blood-borne occupational exposure of the nursing students in the operating room occurs frequently,most of the nursing students expose to hepatitis b,AIDS and other blood-borne diseases patients.For this study,the main threat comes from the hepatitis b virus.5.There were 95.1%of the nursing students had needle stabbed and most of them handled immediately after the injury.However,the report was low.6.The nursing students were lack of the knowledge on standard precaution and their utilization of the occupational protection equipment was insufficiency.Most of the nursing students could handle the syringe and the classification of the medical waste standard while the use of the gloves was not standard.However,the passage and handle of the surgical knife blades and suture needles were also less standard.Conclusions1.Most nursing students had received clinical education of the standard precaution and occupational protection,but it was not systemic.The self-protection awareness was poor.Health administrative departments should standardize professional protective equipment of local hospitals,ensure all kinds of personnel to gain the necessary occupational protective equipment.2.They did not know whether they had second liver antibody and failed to vaccinate or reseed.So the school should detect practice nursing students' hepatitis b antibody and vaccine of inject second liver before clinical practice.3.The current situation of the blood-borne occupational exposure was serious,the occupational protection was insufficiency,and the execution of the standard precaution was not optimistic.Medical colleges and universities may consider to increase education deviate of the standard prevention and occupational protection,and enrich teaching forms.4.As the operating room was under high risk and the knowledge of the occupational precaution was insufficiency,the nursing students needed specialty education of occupational protection.The teacher should emphasis that practice nursing students are faced with the risk of occupational exposure and protection countermeasures,according to the characteristics of the operating room.The operation procedure should be standard,and the use of secure supplies should be promoted.
