| Object:To develop a questionnaire on dietary behavior intention of diabetics and to evaluate the reliability and validity.Methods:In the first stage,referring to the contents of the protection motivation theory and the related literature,and summarizing the interview contents of the semi-structured interviews which were held with 10 cases of community diabetic patients.Then,we developed the initial form of the items pool,a total of 73 items.After seven relevant areas of the experts(statistical expert,nutrition expert,psychology expert,health education expert,medical nursing expert,endocrinologists and community health service station owner)to screen and assess,the final formation of 40 items of diabetes in patients with dietary behavior intention initial scale was developed.In the second stage,using the initial scale to investigate 202 patients with diabetes.According to the results of the analysis,using the revised scale to investigated 403 cases of diabetic patients,and the items were analyzed.According to the analysis results,21 items are retained.At the same time,the database was randomly divided into two sections.In the database 1,the scale with 21 items was further explored and analyzed,and the dietary behavioral intention questionnaire was established.In the third stage,based on the scale structure formed in the second stage,the confirmatory factor analysis of the database 2 was carried out to further verify the fitting of the theory and data of the scale,and form the structural equation model of dietary behavior intention of the diabetic patients.Results:1.After referring to the theory and related literature,combining with qualitative interviews with diabetes patients,expert counseling,and two rounds of investigation,the final Dietary Behavior Intention Scale for Diabetic Patients was formed with 21 items and seven dimensions: severity(3 items),vulnerability(3 items),internal rewards(3 items),external rewards(3 items),response efficacy(3 items),response costs(3 items),self-efficacy(3 items).2.The reliability analysis shows: Cronbach α coefficient of the overall scale is0.73,and the 7 dimensions’ are range from 0.71 to 0.95.3.The scale validity: according to the scale development process,we believe that the scale has a good content validity.The exploratory factor analysis shows that the load value of each item in the common factor is 0.67~0.90,the cumulative variance explained is 81.90%.The confirmatory factor analysis indicates that all the indexes of the model fit the standard of measurement.Conclusion:1.In this study,we basically completed the developmnet of Dietary Behavior Intention Scale for Diabetic Patients,which is included wtih 7 dimensions and 21 items.2.The statistical results of the formal survey show that the scale designed by this study has a good reliability and validity.It is reliable and effective for using this scale to do research. |
