Summary Of Academic Ideas And Study Of Prescription Regularity Of Famous Old Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) Doctor Bao Yanzhong In Treating Chronic Abacterial Prostatitis

Objective:To summarize the academic ideas and clinical experience of Doctor Bao Yanzhong in treating chronic abacterial prostatitis,to carry out modern informatization research on his prescriptions and to clarify his traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)thinking and prescription regularity,so as to improve the clinical efficacy of the disease,seek new ideas for the treatment,relieve physical and mental pains in male patients and obtain favorable social benefits,which is of important significance for the inheritance and development of famous doctor’s experience.Method:The prescriptions of patients with chronic abacterial prostatitis who received outpatient treatment by Bao Yanzhong in Fertility Dept.of Hangzhou Red Cross Hospital from June-2014 to June 2016 were collected and screened to establish a database.Statistics on the TCM classifications appeared in the prescriptions for various patterns of syndromes and the medication frequencies were carried out using Excel and SPAS S,and the prescription regularity of Doctor Bao Yanzhong was studied from perspectives of drug flavor,efficacy and channel tropism.Results:1.Seven academic ideas of Doctor Bao Yanzhong in treating the disease were summarized.2.The medication frequencies and classifications of 146 kinds of TCM involved in 335 prescriptions were gotten.3.60 kinds of core drugs and their drug flavor,drug property and channel tropism were gotten.4.6 groups of commonly used pair drugs were gotten.Conclusion:1.The academic ideas of Doctor Bao Yanzhong in treating the disease mainly include advocating people-oriented and avoiding blind medication;clarifying the TCM localization and understanding the pathophysiologic characteristic of prostate;dividing the disease into 7 types based on prostate palpation;especially stressing treatment from deficiency and stasis based on syndrome differentiation of the disease;attaching importance to the treatment of complications,including sexual dysfunction and infertility;paying attention to external therapy of TCM;putting forward the self-nursing requirement of"leading regular life,regulating emotions,quitting smoking and alcohol".2.In view of medication frequency,there are 60 kinds of commonly used core drugs in Doctor Bao Yanzhong’s treatment of the disease,those are,liquorice,fried fructus aurantii,medicinal cyathula root,pangolin,angelica,endothelium corneum gigeriae galli,liquidambar formosana hance,radix pseudostellariae,field pennycress,astragalus membranaceus,polygonum cuspidatum,poria cocos,cowherb seed,combined spicebush root,radix rehmanniae recen,yam rhizome,raspberry,deer horn,ginseng,herba cistanche,salvia miltiorrhiza,semen cuscutae,herba epimedii,golden cypress,prepared fleece flower root,tuber fleeceflower stem,rhizoma curculiginis,common fenugreek seed,barbary wolfberry fruit,glossy privet fruit,parched white peony root,codonopsis pilosula,rhizoma alismatis,rhizoma atractylodis,fructus psoraleae,rhizoma anemarrhenae,medicated leaven,eupatorium,Chinese yam,common cnidium fruit,pericarpium citri reticulatae,herba lycopi,morinda officinalis,dogwood,magnolia obavata,root-bark of tree peony,ligusticum wallichii,hairyvein agrimony,spina date seed,bighead atractylodes rhizome,calcined ossa draconis,sculellaria barbata,scutellaria baicalensis,agastache rugosus,semen plantaginis,teasel root,safflower carthamus,rhizoma cyperi,fried kernel and dandelion.3.It can be seen from the statistical results of drug functions that the commonly used drugs include drugs for restoring vital energy,blood act stasis remove drugs,heat-clearing drugs and damp-clearing drugs.4.It can be seen from the statistical results of properties,flavors and channel tropism that,drugs entering the liver,spleen and kidney channels are commonly used.In terms of drug property,the combination of frigotherapy and pyretotherapy is adopted,and in terms of drug flavor,bitter drugs,sweet drugs and acrid drugs are widely used.5.The commonly used drug pairs include astragalus membranaceus vs ginseng,polygonum multiflorum vs angelica sinensis,field pennycress vs giant knot weed,radix bupleuri vs curcuma aromatica,rhizoma curculiginis vs herba epimedii and radix achyranthis bidentatae vs fructus aurantii.
