The Guiding Role Of Subjective And Objective Assessment In Chronic Rhinosinusitis Patient With Nasal Congestion During Perioperative Period | Posted on:2018-12-02 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:L Xiao | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2334330536472015 | Subject:Clinical medicine | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective: To assess the guiding role of preoperative subjective and objective assessment in chronic rhinosinusitis(CRS)patients with nasal congestion during perioperative period.Methods: The patients with CRS who’s chief complaint is nasal congestion undergoing endoscopic sinus surgery were divided into experimental group and control group according to doctor group.Visual analog scale was used to assess subjective nasal congestion,rhinomanometry and acoustic rhinometry were applied to estimate objective nasal congestion in the two groups.The Lund-Kennedy scale and Lund-Mackay scale were used to assess overall and severity of disease.Patients with nasal congestion scores more than 5 points were taken corresponding appropriate strategies in experimental group,but conventional empirical measures in control group during perioperative period.Nasal endoscopic surgeries were performed under local or general anesthesia after preoperative preparation.Postoperative follow-up were performed in six months and one year.SPSS21.0 was used for statistical analysis.Result:(1)There was no statistical difference in general condition,nasal congestion symptom score,total rhinomanometry,Lund-Kennedy scoring and Lund-Mackay score before operation between experimental group(102 cases)and control group(82 cases)(P>0.05).(2)There has statistical difference between the two groups in nasal congestion symptom score,total rhinomanometry and Lund-Kennedy scoring after operation.(3)At the two postoperative time points(six months,one year after operation)compared with preoperative time,significant differences were found in the two groups about nasal congestion symptom score,total rhinomanometry and Lund-Kennedy scoring(P<0.05).Between the two postoperative time points,there has statistical significance in experimental group(P<0.05),but the control group was not.(4)The curative effect and satisfaction score in different postoperative time showed statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion: Preoperative subjective and objective assessment for nasal congestion can be used not only in the evaluation of severity and treatment effect,but also in the guiding of perioperative treatment for CRS to improve the treatment and patient’s satisfaction. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Chronic Rhinosinusitis, Visual Analog Scale, Rhinomanometry, Lund-Kennedy Scale, Lund-Mackay Scale | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
