Current Situation,problems And Countermeasures Of Rural Doctors In Yubei District,Chongqing

ObjectivesRural doctors,as a mainstay of rural health services,are serving more than 600 million rural people for their life health and physical health.With the advancement of the national medical reform,the deepening of the equalization of basic public health services and the advancement of the basic medical system,the rural doctors are the main providers and practitioners of basic public health services in rural areas,playing an important role of rural basic medical services.They have been having and will have an important and indispensable position for a long period of time.But,as time passed by,and society developed,external and internal environment changed,rural doctors can not meet the needs of health and urbanization development,internal and external contradictions becomes more prominent.Based on the domestic and foreign theories and experiences,this study takes a comprehensive survey of the rural doctors in Yubei District,and draws the corresponding conclusions through the data analysis and the problem combing and puts forward the feasible countermeasures.MethodsLiterature research,questionnaire survey,in-depth interviews,expert consultations are used in this study.And on the basis of a large number of domestic and foreign literature,we had done some theoretical and empirical summary,surveyed working rural doctors,registered off-work rural doctors,non-registered off-work rural doctors in Yubei District,and got 389 valid questionnaires(287 are from people at work,46 registered leave,56 non-registered leave)back;we consulted 2 people,who are in charge of health administration in Yubei District,for the status of rural doctors and the future development;counseled 5 experts about the development of rural doctors.ResultIt is found that status of the rural doctors in Yubei District have some problems that quantity is insufficient,the quality is not good,the structure is unreasonable,the training is poor,the environmental conditions need to be improved,the income does not meet the satisfied expectation of the rural doctors,the lack of the protection mechanism,and it cannot meet the need of developing health industry and city.ConclusionWhen facing the problem of the dilemma and development of rural doctors in Yubei District,based on the theory of public product theory,new public service theory and equalization of basic public services,the government should ensure that the present rural doctors groups develop steadily,and take reasonable measures to help the rural doctors transform to general practitioner,and the final complete the transformation and realize the integration of town and village health service.
