Clinical Effect Of Warm Kidney And Invigorate Spleen Decoction On Chronic Nephritis With Yang Deficiency Of Spleen And Kidney And Its Effect On Serum VEGF

Objective:to observe the clinical effect of Warm Kidney and Invigorate Spleen Decoction on chronic glomerulonephritis with Yang deficiency of spleen and kidney and its effect on serum VEGF,to explore the possible ways of treating chronic glomerulonephritis with traditional Chinese medicine,and to lay a foundation for the treatment of delaying the progress of chronic kidney disease by traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:62 cases of chronic glomerulonephritis with Yang deficiency of spleen and kidney were divided into control group and treatment group by simple random method.The control group was treated with western medicine,the treatment group was treated with Warm Kidney and Invigorate Spleen Decoction on the basis of the control group,the treatment period was 2 months.To observe the changes of 24-hour urinary protein quantitation,renal function(Scr,Bun),blood lipid(TC,TG),serum VEGF,and TCM syndrome differentiation of patients before and after treatment.Results:①The serum VEGF level in 62 patients with chronic glomerulonephritis with yang deficiency of spleen and kidney before treatment was significantly higher than that in healthy control group,which has statistical significance(P<0.01).②The general data(gender,age,course of disease),relevant clinical biochemical indexes and TCM syndromes of the control group and the treatment group before treatment were not statistically significant(P>0.05),but comparable.Compared with the group itself before and after treatment,the quantitative level of urinary protein in the control group and the treatment group were decreased significantly,it was statistically significant(P<0.01),and compared the two groups after treatment,the decrease rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,it was also statistically significant(P<0.01).④Compared with the group itself before and after treatment,the level of VEGF in control group and treatment group was significantly lower than that before treatment,it was statistically significant(P<0.01).And compared the two groups after treatment,the decrease of VEGF in treatment group was better than that in control group,it was also statistically significant(P<0.01).⑤Correlation analysis showed that serum VEGF was positively correlated with 24h urinary protein before treatment(P>0.01).⑥After treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes in both groups were lower than those before treatment(P>0.01).Compared the two groups after treatment,the decrease of TCM syndromes in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).⑦The total effective rate of TCM syndrome in the control group and the treatment group was 56.7%and 83.3%respectively,and there was a statistically significant difference between the groups(P<0.05).⑧The total effective rate of total clinical efficacy in control group and the treatment group were 60%and 86.6%,respectively.Compared with the control group,the total clinical efficacy of the two groups was significantly better than that of the control group,it was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:①Warm Kidney and Invigorate Spleen Decoction combined with western medicine treatment can obviously improve the clinical symptoms of chronic nephritis with yang deficiency of spleen and kidney.②The level of serum VEGF in patients with chronic glomerulonephritis with yang deficiency of spleen and kidney was significantly higher than that in healthy persons.③There was a positive correlation between serum VEGF and 24 hour urine protein.④Both groups can reduce the level of serum VEGF,the curative effect of the treatment group is better than that of the control group.⑤After treatment,the quantity of 24 hours urine protein decreased in both groups,the treatment group is better than the control group,indicating that Warm Kidney and Invigorate Spleen Decoction combined with western medicine has an advantage in reducing the patient’s 24-hour urinary protein quantification and alleviating the progress of renal disease.
