Clinical Observation Huanglong Decoction In The Treatment Of Functional Constipation (Yang Ming Fu Shi,Qi And Blood Deficiency Syndrome)

Objective:Based on observation of clinical cases,which were diagnosed as functional constipation(Yang Ming Fu Shi syndrome and Qi-Blood Deficiency Syndrome)and were treated with additional herb-combined Huanglong Decoction of Ming Dynasty medical scientist Tao Huayue 《Shang Han Liu Shu》,the paper is to observe clinical therapeutic effect and safety of Huanglong Decoction as well as the application of the Decoction combined with additional herb,and,therefore,to verify the superiority of the holism concept and dialectical therapy and to provide clinical therapeutic schemes with higher efficiency.Method: A total of 72 cases,who visited the Outpatient Liver-Spleen-Stomach Department of the Hospital of Changchun University of Chinese Medicine from January 2016 to December 2016,were enrolled.With respect to syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine,all cases were clinically diagnosed as “Yang Ming Fu Shi syndrome and Qi-Blood Deficiency Syndrome”.The 72 cases were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=36)and the control group(n=36).The additional herb-combined Huanglong Decoction was administered in the treatment group,The dosage was 150 ml,2 times per day(morning and evening after a meal,warm taking),while oral Lactulose solution(Hanmi Pharm.Co.,Ltd.;Batch No.:H20065730)treatment was administered in the control group.The dosage was 10 ml,2 times per day(morning and evening after a meal).The therapeutic courses lasted for 4 weeks in both groups.After 4-week treatment,treatment safety and therapeutic effect were observed in both groups,while changes of symptoms were compare in patients with functional constipation before and after treatment.Result: After 4-week treatment,there were 14 healed cases,16 significantly improved cases,5 improved cases and 1 null case in the observation group,while the total efficiency rate was 97.2%.In the control group,there are 9 healed cases,12 significantly improved cases,8 improved cases and 7 null cases with a total efficiency rate of 80.60%.The healed rate was significantly higher in the treatment group than the control group(P<0.05).The comparison of symptom improvement performance between the two groups showed obvious difference(P<0.05).No obvious adverse reaction occurred in both groups.Conclusion: For functional constipation(Yang Ming Fu Shi Syndrome and Qi-Blood Deficiency Syndrome),additional herb-combined Huanglong Decoction significantly improves a patient’s symptoms,and shows advantages of good therapeutic effect,no obvious side effect and others,being a safe and effective prescription for functional constipation with Qi-Blood Insufficiency Syndrome.
