Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Wind-Cold Type Peripheral Facial Paralysis With Acupuncture And Herb

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with herb in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis of wind-cold type,and comparing the curative effect with acupuncture,none herb,on this type disease,and to explore the advantages of combination of acupuncture and herb in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis of wind-cold type.To provide some basis for clinical of acupuncture combining herbs on this type disease.Methods:In the study,according to the inclusion criteria,randomized 60 patients of wind-cold type peripheral facial palsy into the treatment group and control group,in accordance through the random number table.Both groups were treated with basic treatment,two courses of oral megabalamin,daily life protection and psychological guidance.Exception of basic treatment,the control group was treated with acupuncture,while the treatment group with combination of acupuncture and herb.The two groups were all treated within two courses.Before and after each course of treatment,the two groups’ clinical efficacy of the patients were evaluated by the evaluation table of facial nerve function,and recorded the collected data,then used SPSS software to examine and analyze.The clinical effect was compared between the two groups at last.Results:1.After the first course of treatment,there was a significant difference between the two groups.The improvement of facial nerve function in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).2.After two courses of treatment,the total effective rate of the treatment group was 96.15%while the control group was 92.86%.The statistical analysis of the data showed there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The total apparent efficiency of the treatment group was equal to that of the control group.3.In both groups,at the end of the first course of treatment,there were obvious differences and the cure rate of the treatment group was 92.31%,which was better than that of the control group 75.00%.It suggested that the recovery of facial nerve function in the treatment group was significantly faster than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:1.Both two methods were effective in the treatment of wind-cold peripheral facial paralysis.2.Acupuncture combined with herb for the treatment of wind-cold type peripheral facial paralysis had a quick effect,and could accelerate the recovery of facial nerve function significantly,shorten the course of disease.
