Objective:To construct an evaluation index system and scale for human aging including three dimensions of physiology,psychology and society by combining multidisciplinary knowledge.To establish a human age assessment tool table that matches the application of the scale for providing reference to individual aging assessment and anti-aging effects.Method:Collecting,screening,and determining three-dimensional human aging evaluation index system and scale through literature research,opinion consultation,Delphi method,etc.Applying AHP to determine the normalized weights and combined weights of each dimension,each aspect,and each index.Evaluating the reliability and validity of the scale by using Cronbach’s coefficient,test-retest reliability coefficient,content validity index,factor analysis method,etc.Using the percentile method and the receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC method)to create a three-dimensional human age assessment tool table.Through empirical research to understand age total score and each dimension score in different crowd,and using correlation analysis,etc.to reveal the characteristics and laws of aging changes with age.Result:(1)By reviewing and collecting 621 articles of literature,scales,and books related to age,we obtained 548 aging evaluation items of which 54.20%were quantitative items.After several rounds of expert consultation and argumentation and two rounds of Delphi screening by 17 experts,the authority of the second round of experts was 0.84,and the coordination coefficients of importance and feasibility were0.350 and 0.378.Finally,3 dimensions,10 aspects,51 indicators of aging degree measurement and PPSHAS scale were refined and determined,of which the physiological dimension consisted of 23 items in 3 aspects,the psychological dimension contained 15 items in 4 aspects,and the social dimension contained 13items in 3 aspects.(2)The reliability and validity of the PPSHAS scale suggested that the Cronbach’sαcoefficient of the scale was 0.930 and the test-retest reliability coefficient was 0.856(p<0.001).The Scale-level Content Validity Index/universal agreement(S-CVI/UA)was S-CVI/UA=0.82,and the Scale-level Content Validity Index/Average(S-CVI/Ave)was 0.98.In the exploratory factor analysis,10 common factors were extracted,which accountted for 59.170%of the variance of the original indicators.The correlation coefficient between each dimension score and each aspect score with aging degree total score were 0.728~0.931 and 0.514~0.849.(3)A total of 3184 questionnaires were completed in the empirical study,with a ratio of 0.91:1 for men and women,with a uniform distribution(?~2=6.727,p>0.05).The distribution of aging total score ranged from 25.53 to 86.01,and the aging scores ranged from 11.76 to 50.28,7.95 to 23.41,and 2.86 to 13.78 in each of the physiological,psychological,and social dimensions.The correlation coefficient of aging total score and each dimension score with age were 0.785,0.824,0.579,and0.548,respectively,with statistical significance(P<0.01),.And showed a positive correlation trend of increasing aging scores with age.(4)Constructed for apply with PPSHAS scales tool table that percentile Method human age assessment tool table(including the dimension tables)and ROC curve method human age assessment tool table,which can be used to determine the aging situation of any individual over 20 years old in same age groups or across age groups.Conclusion:(1)The human aging evaluation index system and Physiological-Psychological-Social three dimensional human aging scale(PPSHAS scale)has good reliability and validity which had been recognized operable,objective,simple,economical,and widely applicable by National Institute of Organization.It can be recommended to form a standards to evaluate the degree of human aging for institute and relevant health industry.(2)Percentile Method human age assessment tool table and ROC curve method human age assessment tool table for PPSHAS scale can provide individual aging judgments for measured objects.(3)Putting forward the distribution of human aging scores and scores of each dimension in 10 age groups above 20 years.we found that the change law and characteristics of the aging score increased with age,and there was a significant positive correlation between the two.
