Renewable Energy Target(RET) Scheme, Report of the Expert Panel translation project report consists of two parts: firstly, Renewable Energy Target(RET) Scheme,Report of the Expert Panel(ranging from chapter one to chapter three) is translated into Chinese; secondly, a translation project report is written based on the translation process under the guidance of Skopos Theory. The Translation Report aims to explore the strategies and methods of the translation of English for Science and Technology in the light of Skopos theory.Renewable Energy Target(RET) Scheme, Report of the Expert Panel(ranging from chapter one to chapter three), which are excerpts of the translation project, introduce the review, the history of the RET, the context of the review, the operation of the RET, the performance of RET against the objectives and the impacts of RET towards the electricity prices, environment and society. This translation project typically belongs to the translation of English for science and technology(EST). In the translation report, the strategies and methods will be analyzed based on the lexical and syntactic level according to Skopos theory, among which the translation of nominalization’s structure,the complex sentence and the passive sentences are the main focus.The translation report consists of four chapters. The first chapter is the introduction of the translation project, including its background, purpose, significance and structure of the report. The second chapter covers the translation preparation procedure including pre-translation preparation, source text analysis and selection of Skopos theory and analysis. In the third chapter, the report presents the translation strategies and methods during the translation process in the light of Skopos theory. The forth chapter concludes some findings and some unsolved problems in the translation process. The third chapter is the main body of the report.
