Research On Homophonic Internet Language From The Perspective Of Memetics Theory

The emergency of Internet language drew wide attention of lingustic scholars. These scholars did a lot of analysis from all kinds of aspects. This article tries to research homophonic Internet language from the perspective of memetics theory. The first part of this article introduces the research object and theoretical basis, summarizes previous achivement. The second part introduces the language meme and Internet homophonic meme, classifies the homophonic Internet language under the guidance of memetics theory, and compares the Internet homophonic meme with traditional homophonic meme. The third part relates to the development of the homophonic Internet language in the context of memetics theory. The writer regards homophonic Internet language as a kind of dynamic and powerful meme, and tries to predict its development trend by analyzing its duplication and spread. The forth part probes into the formation of Internet homophonic meme from both internal and external aspects. The fifth part proposes some suggestions to solve the problems of homophonic Internet language.
